How can Laneware afford to give away 6 months of hosting?
We view the free hosting as a form of advertising which allows potential clients
to “try before they buy”. We are confident that most clients will decide to stay
with Laneware after the 6 month trial.
Which URL hosting plan should I go with?
The major difference between the plans is (1) the amount of hard drive space, (2)
the number of email addresses, and (3) the bandwidth which is measured in kilobytes
per second. If you’re not sure which plan to go with, we recommend you start with
the Bronze URL hosting plan. You can always upgrade to a larger plan in the future
if need be.
What is shared hosting?
In a shared hosting environment, multiple websites are hosted on a single web server.
The servers resources (memory, CPU, etc.) are shared amongst all of the websites
hosted on the server. Shared hosting is the most cost-effect form of web hosting.
Do you provide Linux or Windows Hosting?
Laneware only provides Windows hosting which means all of our hosting servers run
Windows operating systems.
Do you offer SSL?
All of our URL hosting plans include a shared SSL certificate which you can use
at no additional cost.
Can my phone connect to your mail server?
You shouldn’t have any issues connecting to our mail servers with your phone. We
support POP3 and IMAP email protocols.
What programming technologies can I run?
All of our URL hosting plans support PHP& Microsoft .Net Framework versions 2.0
- 4.0. We also offer MS SQL and MySQL databases.
How many FTP accounts can I have?
By default our web hosting plans include just one FTP account but we can setup more
if needed.
Do you provide custom web programming?
Yes, we can provide custom web programming for $65/hour.
